Why are custom hoodies so popular?
Hoodies are comfortable, warm and worn everywhere, which makes them one of the best ways to show off a club, gym or team brand. A well-made hoodie with a good logo gets worn for years.
The biggest decision is whether to embroider or print your design. Both look great, but they suit different designs and uses.
When should you embroider a hoodie?
- Small or medium logos on the chest.
- Club badges and crests that need a premium, textured look.
- Hoodies for coaches, staff and committee members.
- Designs with a few solid colours.
Embroidery is hard-wearing and keeps its look through frequent washing. Our guide to preparing a logo for embroidery explains how to get the best result.
When should you print a hoodie?
- Large designs on the back.
- Full-colour, detailed or photographic artwork.
- Individual names and numbers.
- Lists of names, such as leavers hoodies.
DTF printing reproduces colour and detail well and suits group orders with personalisation.
Can you combine embroidery and print?
Yes, and it is often the best option. A common layout is an embroidered badge on the chest with a printed design or names on the back. It gives a premium look at the front and plenty of detail at the back.
How do you choose the right hoodie?
- Weight: heavier hoodies feel more premium and last longer.
- Style: pullover or zip-through, depending on how they will be worn.
- Colour: pick one that makes your logo stand out.
- Sizes: check the size guide, especially for junior members.

How do you plan a group order?
- Agree the design and garment colour.
- Collect one list of names, sizes and any personalisation.
- Collect payments if members are paying individually.
- Send the list and artwork together for one quote and proof.

Frequently asked questions about custom hoodies
Is embroidery or print better for hoodies?
Embroidery suits chest logos and badges, while print suits large back designs, detailed artwork and names. Many clubs combine both.
Can you add individual names to hoodies?
Yes. Send us a list of names and sizes and we will build them into your quote and proof.
Does DTF printing peel or crack after washing?
A DTF print that is applied at the right heat and pressure bonds to the fabric and flexes with it. Washing inside out at a moderate temperature and avoiding tumble-drying on high heat helps the print last.
Is there a minimum order?
We welcome small orders as well as large ones, so a sole trader kitting out one van and a club ordering a full squad are both looked after. Tell us your quantity when you ask for a quote and we will advise on the best value option.
Can I see a proof before you make my order?
Yes. Once your logo is prepared we can send a visual showing the position and size on the garment for you to approve before anything is embroidered or printed.
