Why do hospitality teams need branded uniforms?
In a café, pub or restaurant, customers need to know who to ask. A consistent uniform with your logo makes staff easy to spot, makes a small team look organised and reinforces your brand every time a customer walks in.
Hospitality uniforms also work hard. They are washed often, worn for long shifts and exposed to spills and heat. This guide covers the garments that suit each role, how to brand them and how to keep your team kitted out as staff come and go.
Which uniforms suit front-of-house staff?
Polos and shirts
Embroidered polos are practical and smart for cafés and casual dining. Restaurants and hotel bars often prefer shirts or blouses for a more formal look.
Aprons
Aprons protect clothing and are an easy place for a logo. Bib aprons suit counter and kitchen work, while waist aprons suit table service.
Layers for cooler days
For outdoor seating or chilly venues, branded fleeces or sweatshirts keep staff warm and still on brand.
What about bar and kitchen teams?
Bar staff often wear the same polos or shirts as front of house, sometimes in a different colour to show their role. Kitchen teams need chef jackets and aprons designed for heat and frequent washing. A small embroidered logo on a chef jacket gives a professional finish.
How should you brand hospitality uniforms?
- Embroidery suits polos, shirts, aprons and chef jackets because it survives frequent hot washes.
- A small left-chest logo is the most common choice and looks smart on every garment.
- Printed t-shirts suit events, festivals and seasonal staff.
- Use colour to separate roles, such as one colour for front of house and another for bar staff.
If you are preparing your logo for the first time, our guide to preparing a logo for embroidery explains what to send.
How do you plan sizes and reorders?
Hospitality has high staff turnover and busy seasons, so planning matters. Agree a standard set per person, such as two polos and an apron, and keep a few spares in the most common sizes. Because we keep your logo on file, topping up for new starters is quick, and everything still matches.
How do you keep hospitality uniforms looking good?
Follow the care label, wash embroidered garments inside out and avoid harsh bleach on coloured garments. Our care guide explains how to keep embroidery looking sharp.
Which hospitality uniforms do we supply?
We supply polos, shirts, aprons, fleeces and chef jackets, and embroider or print them for cafés, pubs, restaurants and hotels. See our hospitality uniforms page and our hospitality workwear range. Frequently asked questions about hospitality uniforms
Can you coordinate colours for front of house, bar and kitchen?
Yes. We can supply each role in a different colour with the same logo, so your team looks coordinated but roles are easy to tell apart.
Can I order a few extra uniforms for new starters later?
Yes. We keep your logo and garment details on file, so adding a handful of polos or aprons later does not mean starting again.
Can you match my company colours?
We match thread and print colours to your logo as closely as the materials allow and show you the result on the proof. Thread colours and printed colours can look slightly different on different fabrics, so we flag anything you should know before production.
Is there a minimum order?
We welcome small orders as well as large ones, so a sole trader kitting out one van and a club ordering a full squad are both looked after. Tell us your quantity when you ask for a quote and we will advise on the best value option.
Can I see a proof before you make my order?
Yes. Once your logo is prepared we can send a visual showing the position and size on the garment for you to approve before anything is embroidered or printed.
